Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush

This Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Dollface moved in with my last swap :)

I really enjoy the packaging. The outside color matches the blush color. Other then that I also like the idea that you can easily take the blush pan out of the compact because there is only a magnet that holds it in there. If you use a sharp tool you can take the pan out to put it in a palette.

The color itself is nothing extraordinary it is a pretty universal pink color but I like it. The blush was $25 which is quite expensive but you don't just pay for the nice packaging ;) I don't know if I would go as far as to call Tarte a natural cosmetic brand but they are very concerned about using good ingredients. The highlight ingredient in this blush is the amazonian clay. I did some research and found out that the Clay is gathered from the banks of the Amazon River in the beginning of the dry season. It is very mineral rich beacause all the leaves, seeds ans fruits that fell in the river left some residue in the clay...Even the native have used the clay for centuries as a stress-relieving and a detoxifying therapy. The Blush also contains beeswax, vitamine C and E. It does NOT contain minerals oils, paraben, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, synthetic fragrances and it is cruelty free. I am not very familiar with ingredients in general and whether they are good or bad but I always think it is better to know the a company is aware of using good ingredients.
