Pop Beuaty Liner Cake - Darkness

Pop Beauty ist eine UK Kosmetikmarke. Eine Vielzahl der Produkte wurde bisher in kleinen Metalldosen verkauft, es gab Gloss, Concealer, Blush, Bronzer, Lidschatten Sets und eben auch ein Liner Set aus der Dose.

Die Döschen sind von der Größe her ungefähr mit der 30ml Dose der Kaufmann's Kindercreme zu vergleichen, nur etwas höher. Sie enthalten 12g Lidschatten. Der reguläre Verkaufspreis lag bei $20. Mittlerweile sind die "Dosenprodukte" bei Pop Beauty scheinbar nicht mehr erhältlich, jedenfalls habe ich keine davon auf der Website ausfindig machen können. Im Internet sind die Produkte jedoch noch weit verbreitet und oft für weit unter dem Originalpreis erhältlich

Pop Beauty is a British cosmetic brand that used to offer a variety of products in tins like the Rosebud Salve. They sold lipgloss, concealer, blush, bronzer, eyeshadow and eyeshadow liners in tins. On the official website theses products are not sold anymore, but you can still easily find them in other online stores. The regular price used to be $20, but they are now sold for a lot less. I own the Liner Cake-Darkness.

Im Prinzip handelt es sich bei dem Liner Cake um 5 dunkle Lidschatten, die sich daher besonders gut als Liner eignen. Es wird empfohlen die Lidschatten mit einem feuchten Pinsel aufzutragen, um ein intensives Linerergebnis zu erzielen. Mit einem trockenen Pinsel erhält man laut Hersteller eine sanfte Smoky Linie. Das kann ich nur bestätigen. Mit einem trockenen Pinsel wird die Linie erstens nicht sehr präzise und man braucht zweitens sehr viel Lidschatten um das selbe Ergebnis wie mit einem feuchten Pinsel zu erzielen. Ich benutze das Produkt daher meistens mit einem feuchten Pinsel, idealerweise benutze ich zum anfeuchten ein Make-up Fixierspray und nicht nur Wasser. Die Farben haben alle einen ganz dezenten Shimmer. Lediglich die zweite Farbe von oben beinhaltet (ebenfalls sehr dezente) Glitzerpartikel in blau/lila.

It contains (0.42 oz) 5 different colors of dark eyeshadow that can be used as liners. I would highly recommand using the eyeshadow with a damp brush. I usually use a make-up fix spray and then apply the shadow as a liner. If you use a dry brush the color pay-off is not that good and it definitely does not look like a liner. The colors all have a little sheen, only the second color from the top has slighly blue/purple glitter in it.

Fazit:

Die Idee mit den Liner Lidschatten aus der Dose finde ich irgendwie witzig. Die Qualität ist sofern man einen feuchten Pinsel verwendet akzeptabel. Meiner Meinung nach jedoch definitiv keine $20 wert. Da mir die Farben (insb. die unteren) sehr gut gefallen und ich nicht den vollen Preis gezahlt habe, bin ich mit dem Produkt ganz zufrieden.

Summary:

I like the idea of liner eye shadows in a tin. The quality is alright as long as you use a damp brush. In my opinion it is not worth the full price of $20. But since I really like the colors (especially the ones at the bottom) and didn't pay the full price, I am pretty satisfied with the product.
